From one of the world’s most iconic region’s for Shiraz,Barossa – South Australia. Bin 88 Shiraz has all the hallmarks of this acclaimed region. Picked in the early hours of the morning, the grapes were delivered to the winery and crushed to stainless steel tanks. Plunged by hand, the grapes were fermented in small open top tanks. Pressed to barrel, the wine was allowed to undergo malolactic transition in French oak casks. The wine barrel down to seasoned French oak barrels for 8 months of maturation.
Inky with a deep red hue, this wine has alluring aromas of cigar box and chocolate that are underpinned by fresh dark berries. These fruit notes come to the forefront on the palate with brooding Black Forrest fruits and notes of black tea. The wine coats the palate and lingers in a long velvety finish. This wine has been crafted to be bold and vibrant in its youth, but will age gracefully over the next 5 years.
